Gophers Limited was founded on the principle that using poisons in the environment for pest control only leads to non target poisoning, especially our children, pets and wild animals. The use of poisons have a "one step away from reality" feel to them. A consept that grew out the the huge poison boom following WW2. Then the motto was they were good, even for you. (Ever heard the slogan DDT is good for you?)

The use of poisons even in moderation has caused an endless increase in strength and variation because most living things eventually adapt to the use of poison. So when they are not as effective as before the tendency is to increase the dose, often way beyond the label dose. This excess of poison is often washed into our waterways and has many secondary consequences.

The use of poisons for wild nuisance animal control has led to tragic large scale poisonings. I have witnessed a case myself where an institution attempting to deal with an insurmoutable ground squirrel problem poisoned many predators.

And so Gophers Limited remains commited to finding solutions that are effective and do not use poisons or any other toxin in our intervention of human and animal related problems.
